  2. I’m happy with all these changes except for Kroot. It really blows my mind how they seem to go out of their way to change Kroot without ever actually improving them. At this point now that we know we’re getting new bespoke teams for factions that already had them (see new dwarfs and genestealers) I’ve accepted this team will never feel good and I’m waiting for Kroot 2 to come out. Give me a Kroot ox again.

  3. How do you think Kasrkin benefitted from the changes around them? Better into the meta, worse, or roughly the same place they were before as a mid tier KT? I would've loved to have seen them get something else they can use EP on besides manipulating dice.

  5. I think a free traverse for void dancers + returning the price to the domino field would be a mistake, because then it does not change them in any way on ITD. Maybe traverse and drop for 1 inch sounds more logical and fair. Also a 1 inch drop will return Death Jester to the game.

  6. As a Kroot player I'm disappointed with the changes. +1 attack is nice, but just not enough with a current damage on the blades. GA 2 to 1 is a direct downgrade. It was nice to charge and fight on two different sides of the board. Also IMHO "eye from above" should just be a 0 APL action. I've played dozens of games and only used this ability once and it didn't do much. And maybeeee the trophy should be just an unique equipment for 1 guy that permanently adds 1 APL.

    Agree they need their free traverse back, and probably should ignore climbs and drops of less than two inches.

    I also agree that the VG nerfs mostly applied to playing them at low skill levels. Sharp opponents kill the demo man after his first shot, and didn’t really give the spotter any targets to spot.

  12. On kommandos, you cannot bring three sledgehammers. They are limited to two.

  13. As a vg player

    – I agree the melee operatives could be buffed, especially the bruiser… at least to somewhere that makes him meaningfull

    – Demo mine nerf is ok, makes sense, i wish they made him have 2 though it was hella fun to have him go boombastic but i understand it… also when i started playing i didnt know it went past walls and was shocked when i learnt it!! **Shouldnt hapen with all things in the game really (nades, area effects and so on)

    – Spotter nerf saddens me a lot… felt pretty unique to the team and wasnt really using it too much… now light cover doesnt offer much… maybe they should put ignore obscuring or no cover on top, perhaps reverse it… perhaps make it 1AP so he is mobile and can reposition to give the buffs

    As for personnal changes I would suggest

    – Make zealot aura last until his next activation, not the end of TP

    – Make shovels 1EP, Make Axes 1EP, give ropes so vg can play Bheta Decima (many teams need it not just this one)

    – Change the rerroll 1s for saves order… it even prohibits running… a single rerroll or retain would make it useful

    -ARTILLIERY!!!! PLEASE I wanna play it for funnnnn like i wanna place a basilisk next to the board and actually make some meaningfull impact… just make it work like elucidian and REWORD it! Also they could do it so u can get 2 extra guards and 2 artilliery to mix it up!

    – An extra ploy that has to do with combat drugs they use in the books such as ignore APL /movement/ BS/WS modifiers… would be a nice touch… most teams get 4 tac ploys instead of 3

  14. i dont understand the markerlight is still working part. Doesnt markerlight need visibility and the new BD rules say not visible?

  15. Appreciate the shout out, and i fully agree, i KNEW they wouldnt go hard enough on fellgor and this nerf is not enough. Ill probably be switching to another team but ill get one of my sons running the angry goats

  16. Pathfinders: "Make it 2 operatives and this kill team will be fine" – before making the Recon Drone worth selecting, Pathfinders were a sub 50% winrate faction, sure they will be fine XD
    I fully agree on your assessment on void dancers, they might also need a 1" drop. They should be fine afterwards

Also as a hierotek main player, I don't think this was a change to make them dominant. 3+ reanimation was very swingy, a bad roll could cost the game, a successful reanimation was needed to stay in the game due to the team lacking both total wounds and total APL compared to other teams. The Chronomancer was straight up nerfed, a big part of the power budget of the team was the ridiculously oppressive nanomine. The Technomancer buff is a double edged blade. It is a boon if the Technomancer/Apprentek hasn't been activated yet, but a bane if they have already been activated, all 3 action points spent, then they cannot do reanimation (unless it means that it carries -1 APL over to the next round – the wording is unclear). I dont think its that much of a change to propel the team to S tier. 3 APL for the lackey is nice, but again, I dont think it would make the team dominant. Its big weakness is still the melee-heavy teams, and it just got worse against those.

  20. Pretty sure the S3 teams not getting any changes is because unless there's something incredibly wrong, teams don't tend to get anything done to them on the first dataslate after their release.

  22. So as someone that has just got back into KT and playing Pathfinders; how many operatives along with the recon drone can I have now? It was 1 shas’ui & 12 (with the recon counting as 2), so is it now 1 & 11 (recon being 1)? Not sure I understand the “recon is free” mentioned.

  25. Great video! Thanks for the info re: matchups…I don't always know which ones are poor. Example: I've felt pretty desperate playing my Hearthkyn vs. Wyrmblade lately…was that a bad matchup? Will the Hearthkyn buff help very much?
