How To move UPlay games | No downloads | Between PC/Disks

I found myself having to move a game between my Hard Disk and SSD, and wanted confirmation that this kind of thing was possible with UPlay without downloading any more files… With Steam, it sometimes fails to get certain files and has to redownload, but with UPlay, it seems to work pretty well.
UPlay has no built-in way of moving game files, so you’ll have to find your own way, and that’s what I have here.

  8. If I have all the game files on an old drive and I put that drive into a new PC, all I need to do is install Ubisoft Connect to the new PC, go to "games" then "locate game files" and point it to the HDD that contains those game files?

  17. When you say "Giving it to a friend" do you mean you can literally just copy and paste the game files and that will allow them to have the game for free??

  20. thank you very helpful,i did it with division 2 ,moved to an SSD,but to me it seems that UBI never optimised this game,i dont see much difference here,i bet it takes long to connect to the division servers,thats in my eyes the main issue.but for the copy/move file part all worked out fine .thank you.
